Queensland on Tour 2011 - nearly there!
We're excited to be taking Queensland on Tour this November, Monday 21st to Friday 25th. With 11 suppliers joining us for this year's roadshow, we've lined up a great sequence of training events in Copenhagen, Manchester and London. Additionally, we've arranged to offer in-house trainings at Gold Medal and 1st Class Holidays, including a Travel Counsellors TV recording and an optional Travel2 add-on event up in Glasgow. With so much back-to-back action we just know that Queensland will make a big splash in the UK and Nordic markets this winter. Look out for future correspondence if you'd like to join us next year!
International Market Briefings 2011
This October, Tourism Queensland's International Regional Directors have come together in Queensland to give industry an update on their markets. February's presentations can be found here.
Resources
If you are thinking of entering the UK Ireland or Nordic markets for the first time, it's best to understand the differences in these international markets. Take a look at the comprehensive International Marketing Guide online at Tourism Queensland’s corporate site.
Tourism Queensland recently conducted some exciting research that looked Swedish traveller attitudes and motivations towards long haul holidays. By better understanding consumers' attitudes and motivations, it is easier to tailor holiday experiences to suit. To view the segmentation report: The Swedish Traveller. [pdf | 751kb]
Planning a trip to market
If you are intending to visit the UK, it is best to plan your trip well in advance to ensure that you secure appointments with key travel trade. An online resource has been created by the Destination Australia Partnership (DAP) for Australian suppliers to easily find all of the contact details of travel trade in the UK.
