Surfing
Often referred to as the surfing capital of Australia, Southern Queensland offers a range of surf beaches to suit levels of experience. Host to international sporting competitions, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast have the idyllic conditions to catch the perfect wave. And it doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried it before, with a learn to surf lesson you’ll soon be standing up in no time.

Kayaking and Rafting
Or perhaps you prefer the exhilaration of kayaking or rafting. There are many opportunities to kayak the rivers or the seas of Queensland, with either guided or self-hire options. Rafting is an exciting half-day or day adventure, where you can choose from the Barron or the Tully Rivers in Tropical North Queensland.

Sailing
Sailing is the ultimate experience in any Queensland visit. Choose your pace of experience by either sipping champagne on a luxury catamaran or go bareboating and be in charge of your own vessel. Learn to sail in the turquoise waters of the Whitsundays, passing through islands of the Great Barrier Reef and stopping by uninhabited beaches.
