Teeing up a game of golf in Queensland
In Queensland, you'll find a wide range of private membership golf clubs, public courses and resort courses.
Most private clubs and resorts allow public play during specified times. In all cases, you should call ahead to confirm a tee-off time.
Before you leave home, check if your local golf club has a reciprocal arrangement with any clubs in Queensland. A letter of introduction from your home club may give you access to certain private clubs in Queensland.
As well as a great round of golf, most clubs offer a clubhouse with a bar, kiosk or restaurant. You can hire all the equipment you need - clubs, pull-buggies and motorised carts. At some courses - especially the larger resort courses - use of a motorised cart is mandatory, and is generally included with your green fees. Many clubs also house pro shops with a wide range of golfing equipment and accessories.
